ON BIRTHDAYS
This month, our website turns 3 and this Philosopher-In-Residence is eager to mark the occasion in true Make Me A Plan fashion. Duly, this fortnight’s blog is based around one of my favourite philosopher’s musings from each of those three years we have been gracing the United Plandom to date.
Thanks ever for reading, sharing, purchasing – and of course planning.
Here’s to another 3 years together, plankind.
In the beginning…
The Principal Planner created the company and the website. She didn’t get around to starting hiring a team and starting the blog series until a little later, so the Year 1 throwback on the Philosopher-In-Residence blog is pretty short. More like minus one, in fact.
And then the Principal Planner said…
Let all of plankind be free! (Or words to that effect). In Year 2, the Philosopher-In-Residence blog joined counterpart series Working Well and Relationship With Self to form the Wholly Trinity of personal and professional pro tips and the very first topic was On Freedom. Here’s a sneak peek at what this Principal Planner’s top freedoms are and click the link below to read the full first edict.
- The freedom to choose what I want to do (work or leisure)
- The freedom to be uninterrupted during these activities
- The freedom to treat myself and others in accordance with my beliefs

And then the Prime Minister said…
Let there be lockdown. Year 3 meant a brave new world for all of us and in those most alarming of times the throwback blog this Philosopher-In-Residence has chosen for our third year retrospective is On Alarm. The pandemic has often been about small mercies and little things to brighten the gloom. Finding an on-brand alarm clock in the cheering hues of Atlantic Blue and Beachy Yellow was my little win of this spiel.

Next fortnight, I’ll be musing On Montserrat - don’t be shy, block out ten minutes in your Thursday to read and enjoy.
Please get in touch with any particular aspects of this topic you’d like me to write about.
In the meantime,
Happy Planning
