ON LOVE
If the aisles of pink and red-festooned pieces of tat/tasteful gifts/delete as applicable are not your bag, you can’t get in to your favourite eaterie as all the tables are booked for two and you are essentially more interested in hibernating til Spring than playing your hand at the game of love, this blog On Love is just for you.
L is for leverage. Each time you find yourself wanting to swear at a corny advert on the radio for overpriced flowers or “personalised” cards that will be printed in a factory 100s of miles away, pop a coin in a jar. Treat yourself to something DEFINITELY NOT PINK OR RED with the proceeds on February 15th
O is for Over The Top. Compete with your fellow non-Valentines to identify the most vomit-inducing Valentines offer/social media declaration of undying love and award podium prizes in a virtual or real life get-together.
V is categorically not for Valentine. V is for valour and everyone who survives this time of year without having an epic hissy fit.
E is for Excitement – as it won’t be long before Bank Holiday season commences when you actually get a day off on days of note, and that most certainly helps to sweeten the saccharine taste of commercialised special occasions.
Next fortnight, we head back into Pseudsville and I’ll be musing On Causality. If you think you’re new to existentialism, you probably aren’t, and if you think, you probably are (sorry).
Please get in touch with any particular aspects of this topic you’d like me to write about.
In the meantime,
Happy Planning
