ON QUEENS
With it being Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee this week, this Philosopher-in-Residence felt our little blog should acknowledge and pay respect to this incredible achievement. Whether you personally follow the Royal Family or not, enduring, powerful female role models and leaders are an important marker in society and anyone who lasts 7 years, let alone 70, deserves recognition, in our humble opinion!
Of course, Make Me A Plan presides over a United Plandom rather than a Royal Kingdom, so today’s blog is flavoured with our own take on queen-tastic advice and features our Seven Steps for Successful Queenery (definitely a word). Enjoy, and as ever, let us know if you tried and enjoyed.
BEING A QUEEN
- Be true to yourself
- Be genuine to others
- Regularly make time to check in with if you are actually delivering 1 and 2
- Have presence in the room (or on paper, on the phone, online, in conversations)
- Positivity prevails – prioritise it
- Choose people and projects with care
- Nil desperandum
Next fortnight, I’ll be musing On Time, those who know me and my customary tidsoptimism will no doubt tune in to see just what I have to say on that subject!
Please get in touch with any particular aspects of this topic you’d like me to write about.
In the meantime,
Happy Planning
