TAKE IT OUTSIDE

The outside is a current commodity. After the strict restrictions of lockdown, fresh air became the only relief from days staring at four walls. Now that restrictions are beginning to ease, it is time to look at how we can bring that sense of freedom we get from being outdoors into our working days.

What are some ways that we can do that? I hear you ask. Well, not to worry, we at Make Me A Plan are at the forefront of innovative ways to work and working outside has been a great pleasure of ours since the very beginning.

The first idea, OUTSIDE MEETINGS. Yep, exactly as the name implies, take it outside! Have a walking meeting, get those muscles moving and your lungs filled with fresh air. It’s actually a great way to give your brain a break from the monotony of the screen and the board room. It’s also a way to maintain social distancing guidelines and still be able to get your team together.

Make Me A Plan team members have been having outdoor meetings since the beginning and we think it’s super refreshing way to get the job done and take in some Vitamin D (which is great for our moods by the way!)

Another one, outdoor lunch. The relief your body and mind get from being, even in the smallest part, of nature during breaks and taking yourself away from the office/working environment is huge. It allows us to physically separate ourselves from “work mode” for the small amount of time we can be away from the office.

The last one, and still a favourite, is lunch time workouts outside. You could take turns leading the workout, it could be yoga, running, HIIT, and you can take turns as to who leads your session each day. Get the blood pumping and the endorphins running free!

What are some ways you like to make the most of the outdoors in your working day?
