WHAT BRINGS YOU JOY?
I have a challenge for you.
To notice the things that bring you joy. Not the things you think should bring you joy, or the things that other people are joyful about, but the things that actually light you up, ignite that spark within you, put a smile on your face and make you feel alive.
There may be no rhyme or reason for these things. They might be so small, they are barely noticeable, or completely insignificant to other people.
Some of mine are:
- A good cup of coffee
- Coffee shops
- Waking up to a clean and tidy home
- Being freshly showered, and enjoying winding down in that last hour before bed
- An early sunrise in the summer
- Waking up and feeling like I have slept really well
- A long walk
- Books
- Meeting someone new who I instantly connect with
- Someone noticing something about who I am as a person, and sharing that with me
- Working remotely from somewhere with a beautiful view
Notice where your joy is coming from, and really feel and enjoy it when it comes. It is these little moments which make up a fulfilled life.
